I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU, BUT SPENDING TOO MUCH ON DECORATIVE ITEMS MAKES ME REALLY UNCOMFORTABLE. THE REASON BEING THAT I DEFINITELY CHANGE MY MIND ABOUT HOW I WANT A ROOM TO LOOK SOMEWHAT FREQUENTLY AND THE BEST WAY TO REMEDY THIS IS TO SWITCH THINGS UP WITH SOME AFFORDABLE, DECORATIVE ACCENTS.
I am running low on funds as I've had to purchase a LOT of furniture for this house. Our last house had much smaller rooms, the boys' beds were built in, the rooms that needed sofas could only hold a small sofa....it is just a lot trying to fill this space up. I've done my very, very best to bargain shop and will certainly be sharing those sources soon!
In the mean time I did a bit of bargain shopping last night to get a few things to soften up my kitchen! And I just had to share those finds with you as I always appreciate when someone else has sourced things for me. Kitchens counters can get very cluttered very quickly. Finding cute but clean and functional ways to store things and also decorate is such a big win!
I'm really enjoying a Clean and Modern French Country vibe right now, even though I loathe those decor style labels. But they sure are helpful in sharing which direction I am headed in! So I grabbed just a handful of things but boy do they make a difference in the overall look of the room! A little goes a long way and that is some decorating advice to stick in your pocket!

Love me a good dish towel that is both functional, decorative and ABSORBANT. These are also a win because they are made with UPCYCLED denim and cotton. There you go...shopping for a good cause.

You don't even need to put anything in these but you can if you want! I like the idea of the vases being a neutral color so that if you do put some florals in them the area still looks clean and the florals POP.
It is weird what these simple placemats do to a table setting. They not only make it appear cute and put together, but they also protect your counter tops or the finish on your breakfast table from little boys that like to pound their utensils on any surface available. :/
Roll up those hand towels and place them in the basket! CUTE CUTE! Set those three faux florals above in one basket and call it a day.
